The Devil's Submission by Nicola Davidson

1.0

Why did I buy this book. Why??? I read the first in the series and thought it was so bad. The writing, the pacing, the plot. But I was drawn in by the description of the second book, because it SOUNDS like it'll be good.

The clever and ice cold accountant for the sex club has banished his wife to a country home. She was outspoken and wild when they were courting but at her mother's urging, became a prim and proper wife after they were married - which he hated. She returns to London to get him back (and because her parents need money), and has to deal with jealousy over his supposed mistress and see how she fits in with his life.

Like, that sounds SO INTERESTING. There could have been so much tension and angst and jealousy. But this was a rushed story with awkward pacing, dialogue, and descriptions. It felt like a fan fiction.

I will not be tricked into buying book 3!!
