I’ve had this one sitting on my shelf for a while, and I’m glad I finally got around to it! I loved the small town of Sunshine Falls and the premise behind the story. Nora and Charlie were compelling characters you couldn’t help to root for. I loved the way Libby and Nora loved each other. However at times their relationship felt a little toxic, and I feel like Libby was unfair to Nora during their trip. Her ulterior motives felt unnecessarily cruel. Charlie and Nora’s banter was perfectly timed and made me laugh and cry. The slow burn was slow, but thankfully was resolved satisfyingly. I did feel like the enemies part did not last quite as long as it could have, but I did love the tension between them. I struggled to understand Nora’s obsession with New York City, but I’m sure that’s a me problem. The plot held my interest and kept me turning pages. The ending was fitting, but I guessed how it was going to all come together. The epilogue was cute but left me with more questions than it resolved.
