ONE OF US IS NEXT: Die Fortsetzung des SPIEGEL-Bestsellers ONE OF US IS LYING by Karen M. McManus

4.0

I fell in love with the characters<3 The book gives me found-family-trope vibes, which is one of my favourite tropes in books. Especially the three POV’s where written so well and they all felt so real. Also the humour is on point, as always! And the truth-and-dare-concept was quite interesting. Karen M. McManus’ writing is something that can’t be described in words. It is just amazing and the plots are pretty impressive. In addition, I love the “oh my god, no…” moments, which are guaranteed in her books. All of her books are masterpieces and I have decided that I want to read every book of hers.
The only small critique I have, is that I kinda felt that the first book was better. I don’t know why, but at times the story was not as captivating as the first one. Also, I kinda had a theory about the ending, which ended up being right and that did take away some of the tension at the end. Another small thing was the whole ending and the wrap up, I just kinda expected more. I felt like some scenes or actions went “too smooth” or that some things got revealed by accident without being that realistic and too easily.
But those are just very small points!!
Overall I did enjoy the time spent reading this book. Especially all the romantic scenes - I absolutely love all the couples and their stories
