Sightwitch by Susan Dennard
3.0

I had the opportunity to read an excerpt from the upcoming novella Sightwitch by Susan Dennard. This novella is part of the Witchlands series and takes place before the events of Truthwitch.
I normally only read novellas as ebooks but would definitely recommend buying this one as a physical copy. I know I will ;)
There are a lot of illustrations in the book and personally I think that just works better on a page than on my small phone screen. The formatting was also a bit off which made it somewhat harder to read at certain points.

This novella is about Ryber, a character we met in Truthwitch but didn't really get to read about in Windwitch. I liked getting to know her better and enjoyed the way it was done. The novella consist mostly of journal entries, most of them are Ryber's but there are others as well. I really liked Tanzi's journal entries and thought they really showed you more of who Ryber is.

It was interesting to read about the Sight Sisters and I can't wait to learn more about Sightwitches. As I mentioned not all journal entries are by Ryber, some of them are by Tanzi, her Treadsister. But there are others as well and I'm super interested in seeing how they will play into the overall plot of the book. I'm expecting them to be of importance in the end!

All the Sight Sisters apart from Ryber have gone missing and she needs to find them. At the same time there are Nubrevnans setting up camp close by. We know Kullen was with them and we all want to know more about Ryber and Kullen right? The excerpt ended on quite the cliffhanger and I can't wait to continue reading this novella the moment it releases!
