Did not finish book.
DNF.

There's a story here. And a story that's so compelling. It appeals to my inner teen cyberpunk. The world, when it shines through, is rich with brain candy.

However, the writing style needs polish. A lot. As a quick aside, do indie authors not have access to editors in the same way that mainstream authors do? Anyway back at the story, attempts at writing suspense arrives DOA, since there's so much exposition. Reading certain pages is like:
-Action Scene-
-cut in 10 minutes of exposition-
-Action scene resumes-
-a couple (and i mean only a couple) words of dialog-
-10 more minutes of exposition-
-explain how the MC feels about that exposition-

In the approx 15% I did finish, I also detected some right-wing political condescension by calling out ineffective liberals when it comes to war. Such a gross misrepresentation that it struck of the understanding of Fox News addict.
