The amount of time it took me to read this had NOTHING to do with the quality.
This book is fantastic.
I really love the Gothic atmosphere and the romance and the mystery. There is something so different and special about romance in the past where rules are different about what is appropriate. It makes for some very nice tension and great scenes. Plus, fantastic payoff.
The mystery was very interesting and I was finding out all the twists and turns that lead to a very satisfying conclusion.
I went into this book knowing nothing, and while it was nice to try something I'd never done before, I don't think any information would have ruined the experience. It was so worth it and I'm excited to read the next one.
