Biology of Blood by Mark Parker

4.0

Going into this book, you somewhat know the outcome, due to the title and name of the series. I won’t say that there was much in the way of suspense on the journey to the big reveal of this story, but I don’t feel it took too much away from the story.

This is set up to be a story told in serial form, so to be honest this wasn't a full short story, like I had thought might be the case before reading it. There was a feeling that this was only a section of the larger story and I was left wanting more. That’s both a good and bad thing for a reader.

There’s some development of the main character, Dray, and also his professor. There was also some minor details told to start building the story. As I said I had a good idea of where this story was going to go, but I still would like to see where it continues in the next installment. I hope it’s a little longer, as I feel this is a story I’d enjoy bundled all together in one novel. We’ll just have to see where Parker takes us next.
