People Who Eat Darkness
by Richard Lloyd Parry
True crime junkie here...
This had all the makings of a compelling story, and it certainly is a devastating loss for the family and friends of Lucie Blackman (as well as her killer's other victims). In terms of the story, though, it felt unnecessarily bloated--trim out a good 100 pages, and I don't believe much would be lost.
