sariahsharp 's review for:
Cocktails for Three
by Madeleine Wickham
ETA 11/2017: I read it again. I didn't realize I read this seven years ago. I didn't remember a single thing from before!! There was NO familiarity! I'd give it the same rating and the same review as before. I liked it, but it wasn't enough.
Again, I just don't seem to enjoy the books by Madeleine Wickham nearly as much as I enjoy her books when she writes under the name of Sophie Kinsella. Hmmmm. This Wickham book was a little better than some of the others I have read. There still isn't the wit and lovable characters of a Kinsella book. This particular story focused on three main characters and while I actually liked each character, I felt like we only scratched the surface of what we could have learned about each one of them. We never got to know them enough to fall in love with them. There could have been so much more. So this was a light and easy read, but not as much fun as I would have liked.
