I love Q and Tess. However, this book was a little rough for me for one main reason. They have been married for 3 years now. Did we have to have 100 or so pages of self-doubt again? Couldn't they just be the alpha male and strong female we know they can be?!?!?! It's like one book ends on a high note and we start the next one with one of them thinking they aren't worthy and hiding secrets...ARGH!!!
I picked up rather quickly what Q was hiding. It's not hard if you read all the other books. And once it came out I was more irritated that we went through all this utterly ridiculous inner dialogue yet again. BUT...the last chapter or two helped redeem the book and the epilogue reminded me why I love these two.
“Every hour makes me love you more. Every year, every minute, every moment we spend together. Tess…you do more than complete me. You heal me. And I’ll spend my entire life making sure you understand that.”
