Chivalry by Neil Gaiman

4.0

This was so weird... Mrs. Whitaker is just like "ope, there's the Holy Grail." Not super comfy with the detail about her washing (I'm guessing) Jesus' blood out before displaying it on her mantel.

There were a few typos in this, which was disappointing. Especially after reading the artist's note and knowing how much work she put into this project. The biggest example was one of the character's names - Sir Galaad? Or Sir Galahad? The majority of the times it was the former, so that's what I'm leaning towards...

I would be completely remiss to not mention the artwork. It is absolutely stunning. The illuminated style the artist uses is just gorgeous. Definitely contributed to this being a four-star read (a rarity on my graphic novels shelf). I'm shockingly not as well versed in Gaiman's work, but this had the mixture of wacky and heartfelt that I've come to expect from him. Definitely enjoyed it. Bit weird.
