Door of Bruises by Sierra Simone
5.0
Door of Bruises: ★ ★ ★ ★ . 5
Sierra Simone (Thornchapel, #4)
”I’m only a man, St. Sebastian. I can only lose you so many times before I lose myself too.”
If there’s one thing Sierra Simone knows how to do, it’s write a series finale.
I can’t believe that it is finally the end of this addicting series! As expected this took me on such a wild ride, and I enjoyed every single minute of it. In this book, we finally get into Auden’s head and man is it angsty in there. This man gave Ash a run for his money with the way he talked about St. Sebastian. I mean, phewwwwwww. Their relationship was definitely the one that I was most invested in because of the tangible tension between them and the constant push and pull that was so volatile.
Basically, every single relationship is frayed in this book so there’s a lot of work to get it back to where it needs to be. There is tension and conflict and a lot of rituals and so much love. Above it all, reigns love.
The mystery and intrigue of Thornchapel is truly one of a kind and only Sierra Simone could do it justice.
