Definitely liked it better than book 1– I really enjoyed Astrid and Jordan’s chemistry, plus Jordan’s an absolute hottie so that definitely helped. I think the established world building also helped focus in on the characters themselves more, and the relationship was very sweet. I rated 4*s because the author has this weird thing about separating trans men from cis men when they’re all men and it really just icks me out. It’s like really short and not very relevant dialogue, but respectfully and lovingly I can assure you trans men can also fuck up your life and be shitty to you LOL. But Y’know aside from that tangent and the way she likes to sprinkle in diversity for minor characters and constantly referencing it while having an all white all cis main friend group, I liked the story a lot!
