I’ll admit I was a little nervous to read The Games Gods Play, because I’ve never really been a fan of Greek mythology mixed with modern day. I fully bought it for the pretty sprayed edges 😅. Thankfully, I did like it though! It was very fast paced, and I thought the competition aspect of it was well done- the labors all felt unique. There were some parts that I felt could have been written better, and by the end I did feel like we were left with some plot holes, but I always try to give grace to the first book in a series as they could be solved in a later book. All in all, I thought this was a solid start and I’m excited for the second book to come out later this year!
