Babel by R.F. Kuang is a stunning, genre-defying read—part historical fiction, part magical realism, all wrapped up in a sharp critique of colonialism, racism, and power. The world-building is rich, the character development is top-notch, and if you’re a language nerd, you’ll eat this up. It starts slow, but once it picks up, it builds into something both beautiful and devastating. Given today’s political climate, some themes hit hard, making it an impactful (if sometimes heavy) read. Definitely worth it.
