I am taking a star off just for the AI cover, because, wtf is that? Hire a cover artist Bramble.

The first half of the book almost had me DNFing it. It is written like the author thought college works like a boarding school.
School bells, semesters, and not being allowed to leave campus. Even though everyone in the book is an adult, they are treated like kids who are not even allowed to call home without faculty permission. Because the signal is so bad, cellphones don't work, and I guess we don't have wifi yet in this story?

The second half of the book was better than the first once I got over my hatred for how the university was set up like a boarding school. In truth, I still am not over that part.
