4.5

I find myself wondering why I'm sticking with 4.5 stars rather than 5. I really enjoyed this book. The characters were enjoyable, the story enjoyable, I have no true complaints. I question if I would read it again though and that's a requirement for a 5 star read for me.

Percy and Sam meet at the lake when they are middle schoolers and a bond is formed immediately. Sometimes you just know - and they know. Things change in ways we do not expect as we grow. Percy and Sam's relationship is no exception and we find ourselves wondering why that changes throughout the book.

I think it's clear early on, but it may be a surprise to some. I had a feeling... At any rate, this is Carley Fortune's debut novel and I'll read other books by her.
