I've never skimmed a book as much as I did this.
And I'm not even sure uf it was the book's fault or mine. If I'm not into the trope, and the genre anymore.
I just didn't find the romance any good. I'd started this book thinking it's by an Indian American author, but there was no essence of that here, nothing to indicate that except the characters' names.
I read the whole acknowledgement too, and I don't see what "reflections of what it means to live in texas made their way into the story"
I'm not going to enumerated the things I did or didn't like here. I'll just sum it up as - this felt all superficial.
