The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix

medium-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Strong character development? No
  • Loveable characters? It's complicated
  • Diverse cast of characters? It's complicated

Genuinely not the worst I've read but there were several parts that I didn't really enjoy. White Savior trope being a main one.
The rape and following results thereof was honestly off-putting at best, as was the protags son being obsessed with Nazis. I genuinely don't understand what that has to do with the plot man.
I've read some the author's other books and they were fine but this one just wasn't it for me. Genuinely had potential though.
