The Heiress Bride by Catherine Coulter
5.0
One of those books which I sneaked off of my mom's collection of romances, and this must have been my first ever historical romance read, sans classics like Pride and Prejudice.
I remember enjoying how happy and unrestrained the FL was, quite unlike many other women from the elites, as I now realise, all ready to chase her man. That is something that is still stuck with me, and I might re-read this many more times in the future again.
I'm often searching hard to find a historical novel starring a determined female lead like her, but I haven't found many. If anyone has some recommendations, please comment :)
I do realise that this book might come off as chauvinistic now but I don't think I'll change my opinion regarding this book since I'm slightly biased towards it, partly because of my memories connected to this novel, making it an automatic comfort read to me.
