Iron Sunrise by Charles Stross

5.0

I rarely read or listen to back-to-back books by the same author. I made an exception in this instance as the other choices in my vehicle weren't up to pitch, so started another Charles Stross. One that is completely science fiction. I almost didn't get past the first disk as it was a bit hard to follow at first. But I adore Charles Stross...so I kept going. And very glad that I did.
I became engrossed in the story told from different points of view by people who eventually end up on the same luxury ship. The story goes completely roller-coaster thrill-ride.
Worlds named for cities on Earth like New Dresden, New Moscow...serial killers on the loose, a coldhearted race known as the Re-Mastered want to take over mankind and cleanse the universe of anyone who doesn't fit in.
One girl, dark moody Wednesday, is a key player in all of this..much to her dismay. The little voice in her head tells her what to do and she does the best she can to follow orders. Other people shadow along in her wake and help where they can.
It's all very awesome and it's a sequel to SINGULARITY SKY...I plan on looking that up and adding it to my Simply Audio wishlist soonest.
Definite recommend.
