The premise of this book (faking amnesia to get someone to like you), is absolutely ridiculous, and I am all here for it!
I love both the grumpy/sunshine trope and the "forced proximity" trope, so this lighthearted rom-com was just what I needed. The characters were each loveable in their own way, from the main characters to the eccentric side characters. Jonathan got dangerously close to being a red flag type of mean, but managed to stay on this side of grumpy, and even though the romance followed the predictable pattern genre readers expect, it was filled with sweet moments and real emotions.
Only the thick British accent the book was written in was a bit of a challenge for a non-native speaker like me (and thus got a bit too much at times), but the author gives a fair warning at the beginning of the book.
