The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

5.0

5+++ stars
I'm really not even sure what to say. Review soon, I think.

-------------------

I put off reading The Fault in Our Stars by John Green for a very long time. First it was because it’s a “cancer book” and I don’t really dig those. Then it started getting really big and it seemed like everyone loved it. The hype intimidated me, so I just stayed away, which, frankly, was ridiculous considering I’ve read and like most of Green’s other novels and et cetera.

I’ve been sitting on this review for a while now and I still have no idea how to convey my feelings. The Fault in Our Stars is one of the most powerful, hangover inducing books I’ve ever read. I honestly had no idea what I was getting myself into when I decided to read it. That’s not to say I didn’t like it—I loved it, in fact... but it’s been several days and I still haven’t picked up another book. (EDIT: It's now been a couple weeks and I just... can't. Book slump is still going strong.)

If I’m being honest, guys, I cried my eyes out during the entire last 3rd of the book. And then! Then I proceeded to think of nothing but The Fault in Our Stars for a couple days. I’m not going to explain just how hung over I was (scratch that: am) because it’s sort of embarrassing, but I think you get the point. I absolutely loved The Fault in Our Stars and urge you to read it if you haven’t.
