This was the somewhat predictable ending to the Birthright trilogy. I read the print versions of the first two installments, and listened to the audiobook of this final book. The narrator's voice was not what I expected Anya's voice to sound like, and I found the dialogue was stilted at times.

Anya focuses much of her attention in the first two-thirds of the book on her business venture, her cacao nightclub in New York City. Her hard work and determination is rewarded when her nightclub is wildly popular, and soon thoughts of expansion and franchises are acted upon. Story lines for minor characters are neatly brought to conclusion throughout the book, perhaps a bit too conveniently in some cases? As for Anya and Wynn, they seem determined to go their separate ways, but when an unexpected tragedy befalls Anya, Wynn is there, but will their love for each other be enough?
