From the Desk of Zoe Washington by Janae Marks

4.0

On Zoe's 12th birthday (after a great party at a bakery), she receives a letter from her biological father...who has been in prison all her life. Zoe begins communicating with her father-without telling her mother-during the summer...in between interning at a bakery and trying to get to the bottom of her father's trial.

A good introductory read about incarcerated parents. A nice focus on communication and family relationships.
