Spiral

It had some cute fun silly moments, but the fake dating was extremely unbelievable. Okay, sure, the whole trope is unbelievable and any book that uses it requires a good amount of suspension of disbelief, but in Spiral there truly was no reason for them to not just date for real. The third act break uo hitching "I am deciding the other person is better off without me" is the worst kind of third act breakup to me. The book also dragged on a bit, this would have been fine being just under 300 pages.
