Come to Me Softly begins the morning after Come to Me Quietly ended. WARNING: If you have not read the first in the series, please do not read this review. It will spoil it for you no matter how much I don't want to!

So Jared is now back in Aleena's arms three months after he left her. He loves her and knows he will never leave her again. The problem is not how he feels about her (or the unborn child he found out the night before Aleena is carrying), but how he feels about himself. On the outside it looks like he's happy and has left his demons behind, but he's still drowning in guilt and shame. If he doesn't come to terms with what happened in the past and move on from it, his relationship with Aleena will not last.

I loved both Aleena and Jared. I love them even more together. You know they are meant to be together, but fear that once all the guilt and shame comes out, they won't be able to deal with it. I knew it was just a matter of time for Jared to explode. Of course, at the end, they handled it pretty well and were able to move on from it. You can definitely feel the connection and love between these two characters, so it was great to see them get their HEA!

Come to Me Softly was a well-written emotional read. Most of the story was a little slow and the character's thoughts became repetitive at one point as well as too descriptive for my taste, so I admit to skimming some parts.

Overall, I really liked it. It was angsty and tears were definitely shed. I really enjoyed Aly and Jared's story. Can't wait to read Come to Me Recklessly!!
