Perfect Sound Whatever by James Acaster

adventurous emotional funny hopeful inspiring relaxing medium-paced

4.0

James is (as anyone who is familiar with his work knows) a very gifted storyteller. Admitting music isn't something I'm passionate  about , the spirited way he talks about artists and their albums kept me captivated. This man has a very broad taste in music and although the genres that hold his biggest interest are completely opposite to mine, even I found some great recommendations in this book.
The book is divided into short chapters with lots of sub chapters which ensures that each album retains its value to the story without losing sight of James’ narrative. The stories of the artists and their work are the framework he uses to tell about the worst year of his life.
In conclusion, if you like James Acaster, you'll love this book. If you love music, you'll love it even more.
