First off, Tori is my girl! Second, Nick's brother is a troll. As for the book, Charlie's mental health journey is a really heavy subject matter. I think choosing to tell the story of what transpired in past tense gives the reader some distance so the pain is there without feeling suffocating. There is a bit of pontificating, but these are really good reminders no matter how old you are. Love does not cure mental illness. Full stop. Love can support, and support in multiple forms is key on the journey to improving mental health. Even though I don't want the story to end, I'm ready for volume 5.
