Journey Under the Midnight Sun
by Keigo Higashino
This was a very captivating mystery. It begins with a murder that is unexplained and then a story unfolds of the characters that were in the beginning of the story. The author leads you along to starting to thread together the truth, but disrupts you by beginning a new chapter (with new Japanese names!) about another thread that is also related to the central characters (but sometimes you can't tell right away). At some point, you think that you are reading a novel about entirely different characters...especially when the thread gets thin! It also takes place in the eighties at the beginning of the personal computer, so there is a little historical reference that adds to the edginess of the book.
