Dune by Frank Herbert

5.0

Oh boy, here we go. Dune is of course a classic and it also lives up to the hype. There is a LOT of lore and world building, and the learning curve in learning the power systems and politics is a steep one. It took me a long time to get all the characters straight, just due to titles alone. Paul is an interesting narrator and I found that I enjoyed reading because I was sometimes annoyed with him. My opinion on him changed as changes happened, which always keeps things interesting.
