Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life by Bryan Lee O'Malley

4.0

I had more fun reading this (even though the movie is a very true adaptation) than I was expecting to. In truth, I might enjoy it a bit more than the movie. The characters still feel so accurate in this format. Ramona is still a manic pixie dream girl but in a more fun way than the film. The quirky speculative elements work so much better here than they do in the film. Only thing it doesn’t nail as well is the music aspect. Super fun!

Also part of a list I’m calling “Dallas reads books she actually gifted to other people” lmao
