How I Resist: Activism and Hope for a New Generation by Maureen Johnson

5.0

I love this book. It is beautifully written, allowing each contributor’s personality and style to shine through. We have interviews, essays, lists, the this is fine meme, sheet music, poetry... whoever you are, there’s a piece about political engagement, activism, and/or resistance here for you. And the diversity of the voices is so cool. The diversity of topics and types of encouragement! Helpful, intelligent, kind, and hopeful. Good read for not only YA, but also for any adults who want a intelligent political book that isn’t so dense or pretentious.
