Darling Rose Gold by Stephanie Wrobel

4.0

The story of Deedee and Gypsy Rose Blanchard is a disturbing one. Perhaps you say "Mommy Dead and Dearest" or any of the other adaptations of the story of a mother who made her child sick for years, until the child murdered the mother.

Now imagine the child didn't murder the mother, and that they attempt to build a relationship after the mother is released from prison for child abuse, and you have "Darling Rose Gold."

This is a very gripping read because you know just enough of the story to have one set of ideas, and author Stephanie Wrobel uses that knowledge to twist more questions and suspense into the plot.

The end is rushed when you really want to luxuriate in the resolution. My only criticism. I see great things ahead for Wrobel.
