This is my first Jessica Hawkins book but this has certainly set the bar high and I’m definitely going to be picking up the rest of this series and her other books!
I liked how Hawkins made it so that I really liked both Lola and Beau and you could maybe understand why Lola would want to spend the night with him! He was charming right from the start and there was definite chemistry between them both. It also showed how Lola's nine year relationship had reached the same-old routine like nature and was maybe just getting a bit boring and how the promise of that large amount of money for just one night would have the ability to change both her and Johnny's lives for the better.
I know that the cheating has been thrown around a lot for this book and yes Lola does have a boyfriend (Johnny) and she sleeps with beau BUT Johnny knows that that is what she is doing and knows why she is doing so I feel like this isn't really cheating. Nevertheless if cheating or sleeping with someone else no matter what the reason isn't for you, then it's probably for the best if you don't pick up this book!
