Awesome quote time:
"War must be, while we defend our lives against a destroyer who would devour all, but I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend."
While this quote is not underrated per se, it definitely is not as popular as it should be.

Every time I read a Lord of the Rings book, I am convinced that it is my favourite of the three, but by the time I finish the next one, I'm convinced that is my actual favourite. Speaking critically (as critical as I can be on anything Tolkien) I think maybe The Two Towers is a teeny tiny bit better than Fellowship... but ask me again tomorrow and I will say otherwise. Mmmm, also see, there's no Boromir in Two Towers, so... eh. Ah, but then no Treebeard in Fellowship. I am indecisive, as always.

I am behind on reviews so this will be really random.
I flip flop whether I like book Helm's Deep or movie Helm's Deep better. I like the inclusion of the elves in the movie, and the return of the Rohirrim, but I also like the Ents. Quite a lot. Treebeard is the best. And so whenever they can be included I am happy.
One thing I think should have been included in the movies but was not was Gandalf and Saruman's last face off. Like, it's so dramatic! Gandalf breaks Saruman's staff! He casts him from the order! Literally stripping him of his powers! That would be so awesome to watch!! Peter Jackson, why?!
