My original interpretation of this book based on the synopsis was so incredibly different from the reality of it. At the end of the prologue is the line "this book isn't about war. Its about ruin." What a true statement that is. For so much of the book I felt absolutely terrified for what was happening, fear for the characters and their plight. I don't want to be a spoiler, so I will leave it at this: read this book. Its worth every word. And then, when you're finished, re-read the prologue. Twice for good measure.
