2022 (HOSAB prep) re-read:
omg I loved it so much more the second time around.

The heartbreaking parts still hurt just as much (even tho I KNEW they were coming), and I couldn’t remember the plot twists and they shocked me all over again!

I still love Bryce & Hunt and developed more of an appreciation for Ruhn, Hypaxia and Tharion even though I liked them before! I’m also very interested to see how the epilogue plays a role in book two!

IT’S OUT TOMORROW CANT WAIT!!! 🥳

initial review:
I really enjoyed this!

This book took me by surprise as it deals heavily with grief; I liked the approach SJM took when writing Bryce dealing with and conquering her grief. It felt very real and it was easy to empathize with her.

In surprisingly loved achingly slow burn romance between Hunt & Bryce; I don’t normally like a slow burn romance but this was super swoon-worthy and the build up of sexual tension between them was intense and electric (Hunt’s inner dialogue had be cackling)! I loved the eventual connection they formed; there was a friendship between them, not just romance

I’m really looking forward to the next book and hoping we divulge a little more into Hunt’s backstory, he & Bryce, some more of Ruhn and more of Tharion!
