The Girl Who Played with Fire by Stieg Larsson

4.0

I was not crazy about the first book in this series at all. In fact... I was ready to give up on the trilogy all together. Then I read the back of this book and was intrigued. I wanted to learn more about Lisbeth Salandar... something that I felt the first book had been missing and that I had been expecting. I dove into this one and was thoroughly impressed. Unlike the first book I felt this one had a much quicker pace. It kept my attention all 720 pages of it. The book made me respect and love Lisbeth as a complex and highly misunderstood character. My only question, and if anyone can answer this it would be great, but why is she so angry at Blomkvist? I somehow managed to miss that part. Anyways, loved it. If you read the first book and weren't that impressed I would encourage you to give the second a go. I am looking forward to reading the third book... which once you read the second book you don't really have much of a choice BUT to read the third book!
