What a page-turner! I really enjoyed returning to Gus and Julia’s Regency England as their adventures continue in this second book in the series. I think I liked this one better than the first too! This is definitely not a standalone novel - many references to the events of the previous book are made and I would have appreciated more of a reminder of some of the events of that book at the start of this book. Otherwise this was a well-written romp and I am super excited to find out what happens next!
