Finding Me: A Memoir by Viola Davis

emotional informative reflective medium-paced

4.0

I have loved Viola Davis since watching her as Aibeleen in ‘The Help’ and this book has helped me understand why I am so star struck by her personality, asides from the fact that she is a fantastic actress.

I like that it isn’t just a tale of rags to riches or one of her rise to fame as a lot of celebrity memoirs tend to be. In giving all the scoop on how she was able to find her voice and her power, she reveals herself, just as she is. The woman behind all these stellar performances; vulnerable yet so powerful.
