I am a huge ACOTAR fan. It's the series that got me back into reading as an adult after getting out of the hobby during college.
As with many of SJM's books, the start to this one is a bit slow. Nesta is in a slump and is determined to be as obnoxious as possible. You need to get through this part. If you're annoyed at Nesta and how she is behaving, that is fine. The book is written that way on purpose! Push through. Her character arc is excellent and this book introduces some great new characters.
Pro Tip for SJM universe readers: READ THIS BEFORE YOU READ HOFAS. Just take my word for it. ;)
