Did not finish book. Stopped at 49%.

I couldn't get through it. I just wanted it to be over. I wanted to know what happens but I wanted to be over, which made me want to google what happens, which means I'm done. The book just went around and around and around with the same two things: secrets/trust issues and assassination attempts. It felt like the book was going nowhere. When I was one third of the way through, I honestly felt like nothing had happened other than constant whining from Violet about her mistrust. And the relationship crap... it made me want to stab my fucking eye out. I was so excited with the first book. It reminded me how much I love fantasy but this book felt like I was ready to get married and my wedding got canceled.
