Under the Lilacs by Louisa May Alcott

1.0

It’s a well-written children’s book but it suffers because of the period it was written in. Near the end of the book a character tells a story about Native Americans which paints them as violent, senseless savages. Not long after that, a song about Chinese people is sung which includes made up “Chinese-sounding” words. One star for those reasons.
