I think this will be a great series, it just needs the next books.
This book is like a quality puzzle, where you keep getting little pieces to come together and start to understand the whole.
The world building is spread throughout the entirety of the book. Each chapter and event helps us to understand the characters and world better, as well as how they all connect to each other.
Reading this book I kept feeling like it was just building up to something...something that won’t happen on this book. As I kept reading though, I was okay with that. We learned so much and saw the character development that it didn’t end up feeling like a chunk of plot was missing, it just made me want more! That said—I’m very excited for the next book (and minimally distraught that I have to wait!)
