This was the perfect book to start out PRIDE Month! I have been anticipating this since its announcement and was so excited my hold came in so quickly. Clover City and all the characters we have gotten to meet from it since Dumplin came out in 2015 has been such a joy to experience and be a part of, and Waylon is no exception to the unqiue and completely lovable characters. Waylon is fat, gay ginger who while he doesn't hide who he is, he may not turn his volume up to 100 in order to just get by high school. However when a video he made of himself in drag is released it spirals till he is nominated for Prom Queen & he must decide how he wants to proceed. Throw in a cute boy, twin sibling issues and learning to trust himself and others Waylong has a intense last few weeks of high school. I loved every second of this book & wish everyone would read it.
