Conqueror is the fourth book in the "Galactic Kings" series and I was so excited to be able to pick this one up here. After how book three left off, I was really curious about the heroine here. I have to say that this book immediately pulls you in and I wasn't able to put this down. It consumed all of my focus and attention and I was so easily swept up into this one here. It definitely reminded me why I adore this author so much and I definitely need to be reading more of her work.

The gist of the story is that our heroine, is from Earth, was kidnapped and tortured, and used for experiments for two years. She has recently been rescued and recovering. But she is no long a normal woman anymore, she has these abilities that scare her, but she is also feeling an intense connection to the King of Taln, Graylan. Graylan, is only looking to have an arranged marriage for political reasons, and not for love. He fears what love will do for him. But as his relationship with Evie grows and soon his father enters the playing field and his world is in grave danger. But with Evie and their friends, they will be able to fight for freedom and to live free of their father's tyranny.

I absolutely adored this book so much, it was everything that I could have hoped for in a romance. I so enjoyed the way that these books have been written, and Anna Hackett has done wonders with these books. I absolutely was so drawn into the romance of the story. Their connection is so powerful on the page, you just can't help but be immersed in the story. I really enjoyed the conclusion of this story and that the father gets justice and they find a way to resolve it all which is highly satisfying. We see a strong focus on friendshhips, and I can't wait to explore the Gladiator books as some of the characters connect to this series plus they are badass when fighting haha

Overall I found "Conqueror" to be a delectable read that I couldn't seem to get enough of.
