My Favorite Half-Night Stand by Christina Lauren

5.0

Snuck this one in because I needed a short(er) audiobook. I'm glad I did!

What I Did Like:
-Friends to lovers. This is a trope I’m a HUGE fan of. It worked in this story in great ways and paid off like I expected it to.
-Found family. This group of friends is GREAT and I adored the way they interacted with each other. I even loved the way the “misunderstanding” in the romance affected the entire cast. Wonderfully written friendship.
-Imperfect characters. I’ve said before that my biggest pet peeve about romance novels is when everyone is perfect. It was nice to see that change in this book (although arguably Reid was a bit too perfect). Millie was flawed and working on those flaws. I loved her for that.

Who Should Read This One:
-Romantic comedy fans, for sure! This’ll be your new favorite.
-People who like contemporary stories. At the end of the day this one is really a story about Millie learning to open up and that’s a great contemporary story.

My Rating: 5 Stars. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and I truly think contemporary fans and romance fans will dig this one. Look, I can enjoy a romance when you dump all the toxic tropes!
