This was my book. Does that sound ridiculous? It felt as if it had been written for me - I am Lada, I have hardly identified with any character more than Lada. For all the girls who are too angry, too vengeful, too 'masculine', too unpretty to find themselves in the heroines of other books.

Also Radu was wonderful (both siblings throwing off every gender norm, we love to see it) and 

oof Mehmed was an insidious lil guy

five out of five for just about everything.
