My first Abby Jimenez, won't be my last.

I must note I absolutely loathe 99% of chick-lit out there. This here is the 1%. Yeah there is some spice and cheese but it's written well enough that I think few would find themselves rolling their eyes. Real family and work pressures; touches on some societal issues; features smart women not just sipping tea waiting for a man for their life to begin; men that acknowledge their feelings and what they want. Just terrific. And there is genuine humour amongst the drama, lots of loveable characters to root for (including the animals!). A big bonus for me, is it is set in Minnesota; a state I visited in 2019 and didn't want to leave :)

Alexis and Daniel are a breath of fresh air. And I LOVED Bri. Can't wait to read about her in book #2!
